Web pages and other documents to discover whether the data supports those
conclusions.
--PHStat
2 version 2.7
PHStat2 is Windows
software that assists you in learning the concepts of statistics while using
Microsoft Excel. PHStat2 allows you to perform many common types of statistical
analyses working with and using the familiar Microsoft Excel interface. For additional information about PHStat2,
including technical, navigational and functional information, read the PHStat2_readme.rtf file in
the Install\PHStat2 folder on this CD.
--Visual Explorations
in Statistics, v 1.3
Visual Explorations
is a Microsoft
Excel add-in that facilitates learning of introductory statistics. As you use
the add-in, you will have the opportunity to explore the effects of changing
values on the results produced by four kinds of statistical analyses:
descriptive statistics, probability, the normal distribution, and regression
analysis. For example, in descriptive statistics, students observe the effect
of changes in the data on the average, median, quartiles, and standard
deviation. In basic probability, students use simulation to explore the effect
of sample size on a probability distribution. With the normal distribution,
students get to see the effect of changes in the mean and standard deviation on
the areas under the normal curve. In regression analysis, students have the
opportunity of fitting a line and observing how changes in the slope and
intercept affect the goodness of fit of the fitted line.
Visual Explorations
in Statistics also includes a second Simple Linear Regression selection that
allows you to perform line fitting on your own data.
